The First Leg of our Trip: Norddeutschland

We're back in Bochum from a 4-day whirlwind tour to
1. Hamburg (2 hours)
2. Leck, the home of my cousin Peter Balser and his wife for the Balser Cousin Reunion
3. The North Frisian Island of Sylt which we appropriately toured in an "oldtimer bus" - vintage 1958? That oldtimer had nothing on us!
4. Seebüll, where we met Sabine's good friend Annette and her husband Ingo to visit the Emil-Nolde-Stiftung.
5. Tolk-Schuby where the Balsers found refuge after their speedy departure from Mecklenburg in May 1945.
6. drive for many exciting hours on the Autobahn, driven by Saint Sabine of the Steering Wheel.
