Christmas Blizzard

We made it back to New York by train on the evening of the 26th and dragged the luggage and carried the baby through the driving snow in the middle of the night. As of the evening of the 27th our street still hasn't been plowed. Here are some pictures from the day after the blizzard. It took about 20 minutes to get dressed, and Francis and I spent about 8 minutes outside where the 40-mile per hour gusts made being outside rather unpleasant.

Contemplating the snow and finding it troubling.

Checking for mail and showing off new boots (thanks, grandma!)

In the vestibule and not wanting to go upstairs.

It's much more fun to play inside in the new tent. (thanks, grandma!)

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve: Tree!

Christmas Eve: Carols!

Christmas Eve: Matching PJs!

Christmas Day: Favorite present! (thanks, Julie)

It's not easy to get all of these kids to cooperate at picture time...

Demure enough -- or as good as it gets...

..coming undone...

..descending into madness...

unbridled.
